Well, we have puzzled together the Lulu site and now everyone can have a preview. I know many have been asking for it, so I'm glad to be able to let everyone see.
Back at the beginning of summer, I started an herb garden on my deck, and I've been harvesting the dill, cilantro and parsley. The basil is going strong but I'm going to wait another week. Also, the community garden we invested into this year is going well. We have a small plot. We have beans, beans, beans galore, along with carrots, onions and tomatoes. They're still green, but they have tons of time. The other people in the neighborhood said they lost three quarters of their food to thieves. So I sometimes have Alexis standing out there with a pitchfork to keep them away.
I hate summer. I can't produce anything, especially this past week as it's been saw saw bang bang, and the house has an inch of dust. But movies, movies I have watched until I am ready to blow my brains out. I would rather be starting a new project, or exploring something deep and perverse with Alexis, or even to be reading a decent book. Books I've tried lately, they all seem to take forever to start. It's fifty and sixty pages of description, who is related to who and who does what. There's no hook. The last good book that I read was The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest, but everyone has read that now. I loved those books. I'd like to see more books about story, and less about filler. It really aggravates me to invest that much time, because when I read a book I want to be so involved that when I close it for the evening, I want to feel like that I've been on a vacation. I want to relish it for hours later in my thoughts. I haven't found that lately, though I have been looking.
Real quick, I'd like to say that I like erotica and sci fi. I'll go into that another day.

Stinky This Week
When it rains, it pours. I was awakened this morning by two men in my hall. They were here and I was naked, yelling out, "I'm here, I'm here!" as I heard them getting back to the condo door and waiting for me. They were here to do repairs to the bathroom.
Seems the drywall and tiles have degraded so that it's dripping to the suite below us. They were here to start work at 9 a.m., and for me 9 a.m. is very early. I'm a night person. It had begun - hammering, banging, sawing, cutting, every sound that you can imagine, and for toppers, it was a very hot day. Needless to say, when Alexis got home from work, I was wound up tighter than a ten day clock radio. As soon as he walked in the door, I said "That's it, I'm out of here." I proceeded to leave, go out and walk off some pent up anger.
So does it end today? No, I was told this ends at the end of Friday, so I won't have a bathtub or shower until Saturday morning. Thank god, 'cause Saturday, Alexis runs D&D, and it feels like I've been waiting four months for this game. It's with a couple my age, and I very much enjoy it.
To wind this up, the goal is to make it to D&D and a shower, and to sell more books. Honestly, poor Michael goes through much more than this - laughs. Don't you love torture?
See you tomorrow!

Snowbirds
I'm always amazed when my husband Alexis sits at the computer. Reminds me of when I was a child of my Aunt Dorothy who played the piano. I used to sit mesmerized at watching her fingers play over the keys. I'm proud that I'm able to touch type, but his fingers just fly. But watching him create the blog for me and how with each step he would ask, "do you like this color?" or "Do you like this style?" "You like purple, right?" Laughs. He was very patient. Not like most men.
Me, I'm okay, yeah, that looks good, we'll go with this. But as it turned out, I'm pleased with all the things I picked out with his help.
Boy, has it been a long, hot three days. Around 30 C here. At times like this I sure wish I had an air conditioner. But it seems so pointless, as we have few hot days. Don't be shocked, but I do like snow and winter. It's one thing I do like here, its snow and mountains. I'm from Kentucky, and though they don't get much snow there, when I was twelve, my family moved to Michigan. Being close to the water we got lots of snow. For a kid that meant school days, ha! And when I was married, sitting in the family room and watching the snow fall, I could watch it for hours, glancing into the fireplace and back out at the snow. We lived closed to the woods and often there would be deer and wildlife, kind of like Norman Rockwell you might say. As long as I don't have to shovel it - two thumbs up - I'm all good.
Alexis says someday we can spend a whole winter in Iceland when we have lots of money. Ah, the things to dream about. Kind of like Homer Simpson, uuuuuhhh, drool. I don't why I like snow so much, I find it very peaceful and relaxing. Funny, when I go to sleep at night, especially when its hot like this, I strip down and crawl into my bed, fan blaring, and think of being on the road to the mountains - and like Rudolf the Rednosed Reindeer, all of the sudden a storm, a blizzard hits, and we have to find sanctuary in a ranger's abandoned cabin.
Of course, then I tie him down and get out my toys, but that's another post.

My New Book
Hello everyone. I'm Tamara. I've just written my book, Poor Michael. It took me more than a year to write this book, and though I can't say it was easy, it took a lot of looking in depth and having to use a lot of my imagination. I'm very excited about this and very proud. I'm very anxious, too, because this is the first time I've ever done this.
I've started this blog, because people say it's the thing to do when you've written a book. So be gentle with me. My husband writes a blog all the time, and he's helping me with this. Usually I don’t put myself out there because I’m more comfortable reading what others write about themselves.
There’s always been that part of me that wants to seek out new life forms, Ha Ha. No, really folks, I love to explore new things, a new way of thinking of things that bumps horns with puritanical ways of living and thinking. I’m gonna keep exploring and investigating new ideas. I’m looking to be able to share more of myself, and that means being very open and very blunt at times.
Well, that’s all I can think of, I’ll have more next time.
